Meet the Founder

Hello, I'm Jordann Kian
I’m a yogini, teacher of yoga, Ayurvedic health counsellor, psychotherapist, and ever-evolving student of life.
For over 8 years, I’ve been working with women in various healing capacities. Integrating Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, somatic therapy, and traditional counselling, I help women heal their bodies and minds naturally.
Although I live and breathe Ayurveda today, I didn’t always know how to care for my body.
In my mid-twenties, I was in a state of utter misery. Being single reinforced my deepest beliefs: that I was fundamentally flawed, unlovable, and broken. My body was falling apart—severe acne flare-ups, painful periods, and constant digestive issues. I felt completely defeated by life, like a sad, droopy flower wilting in the corner.
Panic attacks gave way to deep depression and waves of overwhelming sadness. I felt disembodied. My once-beloved yoga practice turned into physical punishment rather than a space for inner listening. I wanted to escape myself. I chased temporary hits of “aliveness” through excessive exercise, food, recreational drugs, and unhealthy relationships with men. From the outside, it looked like I had it all together. But inside, I was carrying mountains of unresolved trauma. The only person I was fooling was myself. Masking and people-pleasing had always been my survival strategies—they worked, but at a devastating cost.
I was in despair and didn’t know where to turn. My yoga practice felt hollow. I was doing everything I thought was “right”—following the latest health-food trends, taking handfuls of supplements, seeing every wellness expert under the sun—and still, nothing worked.I’d always been drawn to natural solutions, but I didn’t know where to look. My gynecologist prescribed birth control. My therapist suggested antidepressants. My dermatologist pushed antibiotics. Not one of them ever asked about my menstrual cycle or gut health.
I hadn’t yet discovered Ayurveda, but my intuition kept whispering: “Everything happening in your body—the emotional chaos, the mental turmoil—is connected.” I knew deep down that manipulating my hormones, suppressing my emotions, or wiping out my body’s bacteria wasn’t the answer.
I left those offices feeling more hopeless than ever.
That’s when I discovered Ayurveda
It helped me reconnect with my body in the most profound way. Ayurveda gently restored my digestion, balanced my hormones, cleared my skin, and guided me to release years of stored emotional blockages and physical toxicity. It also transformed my yoga and meditation practice from one of force and punishment into something soft, grounded, and deeply nourishing. For the first time, I was healing on an energetic and emotional level, unwinding the limiting patterns and chronic stress that had fueled all my imbalances.
As I began living in harmony with nature and her rhythms, something shifted. I started feeling healthier, more alive, and more radiant than I ever had—even in my teens. Ayurveda didn’t just fix symptoms; it gave me a way of living that creates and sustains health every single day.
Now, as I move through my thirties (and beyond), I only feel more grounded, energized, and at home in my body. Through rest, play, ritual, and conscious choices, I’ve learned how to truly nourish my vitality and listen to my innermost truth.
Ayurveda and yoga didn’t just heal my mind and body—they revealed something deeper: at our very essence, we are all whole, we are all love.
What Inspires Me
I’m in love with all things Vedic - I love what the practices of Ayurveda, yoga and natural, intuitive living have done for my life and how they’ve worked their magic on the people and world around me. As I continue to study the ancient sciences of Ayurveda and yoga, as well as body-focused psychotherapy, I’ve become obsessed with helping others heal through food, while using a bottom-up approach that is all about nourishment, simplicity, and embodying nature’s wisdom.
My uniquely loving approach
Living the healing principles of classical Āyurveda in my own life has afforded me the capacity to be a skilled GUIDE. Ayurveda and yoga aren’t only holistic healing systems, they are a lifestyle. And because I have lived it for almost 10 years, I know how to adapt these ancient, complex sciences to a modern woman’s life.
I give you an understanding of what is causing and triggering your imbalances so you can remove the cause and feel well.
I don’t just treat the symptoms, I provide you with solutions that will help you heal from the inside out. So we can stop treating and start the healing.
I give a clear step-by-step plan that is easily adaptable to modern living.
I check in with you in between appointments, so you can rely on my heart-centred presence all the way.
I want you to feel better now! It took me years to feel good in my body, and this was largely because no one took the time to listen, sit with me, or offer guidance that was digestible and simple. You don’t have to wait years or months like I did to feel great in your body. This is why I do what I do!
My mission is clear- to give women the tools necessary to live healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives so that the world is a better, kinder, and more compassionate place. It’s an honour to share these practices with you. Ayurveda and yoga hold a special place in my heart, and although we have yet to meet, so do you.
Things I Love
I deeply value creativity and being in nature, and I love to learn and try new things! I love to spend my days in the kitchen cooking nourishing meals for myself and others, or being outdoors hiking, biking and foraging! I love dancing, travelling, reading, writing, painting, and spending quality time with my loved ones. And I love where I live! Being in the Kootenays and surrounded by an abundance of nature has taught me to slow down, be patient, work smarter, not harder, and live each moment breath by breath and season by season.
